Heroes Rise, one hundred ninety-eighth entry: Git Gud

Welcome, brave adventurers…

… to the one hundred ninety-eighth entry into our chronicle, recorded on Saturday, January 29th, and released Wednesday, February 2nd over at heroesrisepodcast.com.

Yep, we are just two episode away from the big two-zero-zero, and we’ve got plans! On Saturday February 12th, to celebrate 200 episodes and 4 years of Heroes Rise, we’re aiming to do a full day of livestreamed content over on Twitch. Actual Play games, painting masterclasses, RP playthroughs of Baldur’s Gate 3 and, of course, the recording of our regular show with a few of the behind-the-scenes crew peaking their heads through the curtains. We’re just waiting on one or two bits of technology to make an appearance before we can publish our schedule, so keep an eye out for that coming soon on Social Media, or on our Discord server at discord.heroesrisepodcast.com

In this week’s Adventurer’s Pack, Lennon introduces us to his favorite niche corvid radio station…

Next we check out some D&D News as we uncover:

  • Some new WizKids minis
  • Two new non-Wizards 5th Edition settings you may be interested in
  • How D&D’s shift to multiversalism has altered goblinoid origins

After that we head on over to the Scrying Pool to see what you have to say.

Are you hoping to die horribly and repeatedly in your 5e games without needing to invite Ryu to DM? Do you want to adventure in Gielinor?
What’s your take on Jeremy’s explanation of the changes? Does the explanation of the “multiversal perspective” make sense given what they’re doing? Or is Ostron’s frustration and confusion justified?
Which pseudo-sci-fi setting do you think Wizards is going with? Are we getting traditional Spelljammer, or are they going to put their money on glowing quazi-japanese Magic imports?
