Heroes Rise, eighty-fifth entry: Barbarians Gone Wild

Welcome, brave adventurers…

… to the eighty-fifth entry into our chronicle, recorded on Saturday August 17th, and released Wednesday August 21st over at heroesrisepodcast.com.

In this week’s Adventurer’s Pack, Lennon’s rehashing a map tool from an older episode, this time with updates! Next we check out some D&D News as we uncover:

  • The latest Unearthed Arcana featuring the Wild Soul Barbarian and the Astral Monk
  • And everything that we’ve managed to learn about Descent Into Avernus from a recent episode of DragonTalk.

After that we’ll take a Short Rest and open our Adventurer’s Journals and learn how some characters can be completely made up, before finally heading over to the Scrying Pool to see what you have to say.

mThis Week’s Community Questions
What are your thoughts on the UA subclasses? Were you interested in the “wild magic Barbarian”? What would your monk’s astral body take the form of?
Did any of the revelations about Avernus change your opinion on the module? Do the new teasers make you want to pick up the book?
What’s your opinion on tying morality to game mechanics? A good way to make moral decisions have an impact, or an annoying restriction on roleplay and character freedom?
