Heroes Rise, twenty-first entry: Blacksmiths and Blackjack

Welcome, brave adventurers…

… to the twenty-first entry into the Heroes Rise chronicle. This episode was recorded on Saturday, 21st April 2018, and made available for download on Wednesday, 25th April 2018 at heroesrisepodcast.com

In this week’s Adventurer’s Pack, Lennon goes to town on us. Next we check out some D&D News as we cover:

  • The Podcasts of Foes
  • The latest issue of Dragon+
  • The first semi-final of Mordenkainen’s Mayhem
  • And Chris Perkins talks to Todd Kenreck about creating your own adventures

After that we take a Short Rest and check out what Ostron’s been working on in the Gnomish Workshop (it’s probably probability based), before finally looking into the scrying pool to see what you have to say.

Speak for yourselves, Ostron’s “Math and Circuses: Fun for the masses” is one of my favorite segments you have done. I would love to hear more of it more often.

Every time you guys let Ostron do that, a baby dragon dies and a Kender is born.

I loved Ostron’s discussion of probabilities and reminding players that just because they hadn’t rolled a 20 (“crit”) in a long time that they were due. Dice are stupid. Dice have no memory.

Keep up the great podcast!
