Welcome, brave adventurers…
… to the forty-second entry into our chronicle, recorded on Saturday September 22nd 2018, and released Wednesday September 26th 2018 over at heroesrisepodcast.com
This week, Lennon talks about Rules and Documents, and which ones you want in your Adventurer’s Packs. Next we check out some D&D news as we bring you coverage of:
- Our first glimpses at what awaits us in the Dungeon of the Mad Mage
- And our take on the Adventurer’s League: Eberron: Season 1 adventure “What’s Past is Prologue”
After that we take a Short Rest and dig up some Unearthed Mundana for some more Exotic Royalty, before finally looking into the scrying pool to see what you have to say.

This Week’s Community Questions
What do you think about more Spelljammer-ish content in Mad Mage? Nice flavor to hold us over, or a cover for the lack of spelljammer and an annoying intrusion of sci-fi into the fantasy world?
Is Lennon being over-critical, or should the lore inconsistencies in the Eberron AL supplement have been rectified before publication?
What unique or non-standard noble titles or systems have you used in your games? We particularly want to hear about any homebrews you came up with

Lennon is absolutely NOT being overly critical of the first Eberron AL supplement. And from what I’ve read, the 2nd isn’t much better, though I haven’t yet purchased it on principle.
He was exactly right that it seems like it was written by someone who heard the terms “Last War” and “airship” then wrote the whole adventure without actually looking them up. Not to mention the load of grammatical errors throughout. They desperately need an editor.
Like Lennon, I love Eberron and am very excited to see it (semi)officially brought to 5e. I’m prepared to drop a lot of money on books and official miniatures to supplement play. But at this point, I’ll continue to use the 3.5 and 4e supplements rather than buying this.
