Welcome, brave adventurers…
… to the one hundred seventy-seventh entry into our chronicle, recorded on Saturday, August 14th, and released Wednesday, August 18th, over at heroesrisepodcast.com.
In this week’s Adventurer’s Pack, Ostron tells us what kinds of things dragon trappers catch.
Next we check out some D&D News as we uncover the D&D Studio’s latest hires, blogs and how the D&D team are getting multilingual D&D Beyonds Inventory Update and why they’re dropping support for UA, and the newest sets of WizKids Pre-painted minis heading our way soon.
After that we take a Short Rest and head into the Archives of Candlekeep as we unbalance the scales; before finally heading over to the Scrying Pool to see what you have to say.

Hey you 3!
Regarding Canon: I think it´s disappointing that in recent changes to lore in the Forgotten Realms WOTC doesn´t seem to build on existing canon. One example being the Drow, or R.A. Salvatore´s Drow, more precisely. Finally they´re getting the much-needed update (their self-cannibalistic culture of intrigue was already getting boring in the 90s, let alone the whole problem with dark skinned elves as an evil “race”). But probably because of some IP deals Salvatore gets to invent new “good” drow societies in his upcoming novels as if there had always only been Menzoberranzan/Ched Nasad and Lolth in the first place.
But there was already so much more in that regard. For example the followers of Ellistraee or the redeemed Miyeritari dark elves. Now it seems as if that never existed and the only adjective for that practice that I can think of is “lazy”.
I get the intimidating lore problem for new players and DMs and there´s a lot of problematic lore in need of updating but they´re doing it disrespecting the work that was already done by so many authors and that´s sad. And it´s just unnecessary.
Overall I agree with your standpoint btw! Keep up the awesome and entertaining show!
