Welcome, brave adventurers…
… to the thirty-third entry into the Heroes Rise chronicle. This episode was recorded on Saturday, 21st July 2018, and made available for download on Wednesday, 25th July 2018 at heroesrisepodcast.com
In this week’s Adventurer’s Pack, it might not be conventional wisdom, but this time we’re encouraging you to listen to the siren’s song.. Next we check out some D&D News as we bring you news of a new Twitch Stream all about the Adventurer’s League, details of a new mobile D&D game Warriors of Waterdeep and some new books for the youngest members of your party.
After that we take a Short Rest and look into the Archives of Candlekeep and check out the history of one of D&D’s most iconic monsters, the Beholder, before finally looking into the scrying pool to see what you have to say.

Firstly, welcome to the other side of the wall Mikey. Great job!
Thank you guys for sharing your starts in D&D. I’m dating myself here but back in the early to mid 80’s i was obsessed with D&D but had no one interested in playing. I just gave up. Enter Games Workshop. I finally delved fully into “nerd culture” and made some new friends who have grown into some of my best friends. After GW pulled their stores from the US market we were all just sort of left hanging. That’s when a fellow with a penchant for sleep inducing discussions about numbers asked if I’d be interested in playing in a D&D campaign. Now, a couple different things may have happened. 1. I squealed like a 7yr old girl who just got a pony. 2. I fell to my knees and wept. Or 3. Some combination of both. So i cut my teeth for the very first time on 4th edition somewhere in my 30’s. I love the game and I love the guys and girl I play with.
