Heroes Rise, sixty-first entry: She Sells Sahuagin Scales By The Sea Shore

Welcome, brave adventurers…

… to the sixty-first entry into our chronicle, recorded on Saturday February 9th 2019, and released Wednesday February 13th, 2019 over at heroesrisepodcast.com

For this week’s Adventurer’s Pack, surprise! Lennon has another mapping tool for us. Next we check out some D&D News as we uncover:

  • Two new D&D accessories coming in October this year
  • A DMs Guild Adept extension to Waterdeep: Dragon Heist
  • And everything that we could scrape out of February’s Spoilers & Swag stream

After that we take a Short Rest and listen to some Wisdom from the Masters about some puzzling issues, before finally looking into the scrying pool to see what you have to say.

mThis Week’s Community Questions
Are you planning to pick up Dragon Heist: Forgotten Tales? Were the repetitive aspects of the original publication a problem for you?
Do you agree with Lennon’s prediction now that evidence seems to be on his side, or is he horribly wrong and you have a much better explanation for what’s going on here?
What interesting puzzles, in-game or in-person, have you encountered or forced on others? Have any completely bombed and had to be scrapped?

Another great episode. I really enjoyed the segment on puzzles but the way it was almost treated as an abstract concept suggested that you assumed that most people only used puzzles when they were part of a published campaign rather than a resource that you might have on hand to drop into any campaign to enhance the fun.

Running with that, are there any good sources of puzzles that you might recommend? Any from older published WotC books? Any even non-D&D sources?

    Thank you.
