Welcome, brave adventurers…
… to the second entry into the Heroes Rise chronicle. This episode was recorded on Saturday, 2nd December 2017, and made available for download on Wednesday, 5th December 2017 at heroesrisepodcast.com
This week, Ostron’s joined by Ryu and Lennon who kicks off the show by bringing a tool he keeps in his Adventurer’s Pack — be warned, it gets a little mathsy. Then we take a look at some D&D News as we take a look at why 2017 is a fantastic year for Wizards of the Cost and what might be coming in the future.
Next, we take a Short Rest and get familiar with our Familiars; before finally finishing off the show by looking into the Scrying Pool to see what you have to say.

This Week’s Community Questions
What do you think the Next Big Thing will be for 5e D&D? Is there an older adventure you’d like to see remade? A setting that’s near-and-dear to you? Do you want to see D&D 5e move into a completely different setting entirely?

A solid second show guys, well thought out and executed.
I found your DM/Player feedback segments (those on fudging die rolls and use of familiars) particularly insightful and useful, providing information that’s actually relatable (from personal experience) and usable.
The podcast is shaping up to be a staple of my weekly listening library, and I am looking forward to seeing how this show pans out in the future.
Nulk.
Note; you asked about personal feedback on Xanathar’s – I for one was disappointed by the lack of a revised ranger class in this book, instead focussing on archetypes , what are your thought’s on where WoTC will head with this class? Will they stick with the class as is, or publish an official (badly needed) change?
